HK, China: Stocks end flat ahead of Fed
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks ended flat on Tuesday following two days of gains with investors awaiting the conclusion of the Federal Reserve's next policy meeting for fresh clues about its monetary policy plans.
The Hang Seng Index was barely moved, inching down 1.72 points to close at 23,827.95.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.07 per cent, or 2.31 points, to 3,239.33 but the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.14 per cent, or 2.78 points, to 2,027.11.
