Hong Kong, Shanghai: Shares close lower

    [HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks ended lower on Thursday as the wind came out of a Trump-fuelled rally in global markets.

    The Hang Seng Index eased 0.36 per cent, or 87.10 points, to 24,114.86.

    The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.30 per cent, or 9.84 points, to close at 3,251.38 but the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, inched 0.08 per cent, or 1.64 points, up to 1,991.98.
