Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks climb at open

[HONG KONG] Stocks in Hong Kong and Shanghai climbed in early exchanges Wednesday, tracking rallies across Asia, New York and Europe as oil prices pushed up to 2016 highs on reports of an Russia-Saudi Arabia agreement to freeze output.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong added 1.15 per cent, or 234.90 points, to 20,739.34.
In Shanghai the composite index gained 0.59 per cent, or 17.71 points, to 3,041.36, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 0.52 per cent, or 10.14 points, to 1,945.74.
