Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks ease as Asia rally fizzles
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks fell slightly Friday, mirroring a wider drop across Asia as renewed weakening in oil prices soured a recent stock market rally.
The Hang Seng Index was down 0.14 per cent, or 27.42 points, to 19,335.66 in opening deals.
In Shanghai, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.28 per cent, or 7.99 points, to 2,854.90. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.32 per cent, or 5.86 points, to 1,835.56.
