Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks extend losses at open

[HONG KONG] Shares fell again in Hong Kong soon after opening Thursday, extending the previous day's sharp sell-off as traders grow increasingly worried about the outcome of next week's US presidential election.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.16 per cent, or 35.68 points to 22,774.82.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.19 per cent, or 5.96 points, to 3,096.77, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, declined 0.24 per cent, or 4.89 points, to 2,055.16.
