Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks open down
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks both slid in early trade Friday, tracking a global slump following a deadly attack in Barcelona and mounting concern about turmoil in the White House.
The Hang Seng Index was down 1.22 per cent, or 333.96 points, to 27,010.26.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.46 per cent, or 15.19 points, to 3,253.24, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.58 per cent, or 11.02 points, to 1,898.36.
