Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks open flat before China data

[HONG KONG] Shanghai and Hong Kong stocks opened flat on Wednesday as investors await the release of Chinese third quarter economic growth data later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong edged down 19.20 points to 23,375.19.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was marginally higher, adding 1.87 points to 3,085.75, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.14 per cent, or 2.87 points, to 2,059.46.
