Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks open lower
[Hong Kong] Hong Kong shares fell in the opening minutes Friday as investors await the conclusion of a closely watched meeting of the Bank of Japan later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.53 per cent, or 118.39 points, to 22,055.95 by the break.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was slightly lower, edging down 1.78 points to 2,992.54, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was also down marginally, dipping 0.89 points to 1,950.11.
