[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks lost 0.77 per cent in the opening exchanges Monday after reports the planned stock-trading connection between the city and Shanghai had been delayed.
The project, known as Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect programme, had been due to launch at the end of October but has now been delayed. The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 179.99 points to 23,122.21.
