Hong Kong: Shares end 1.37% higher
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks jumped 1.37 per cent following a third successive advance on Wall Street, while traders await the release of preliminary Chinese manufacturing data later in the week.
The Hang Seng Index rose 315.39 points to 23,403.97 on turnover of US$7.94 billion.
But in mainland China the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.56 per cent, or 13.11 points, to 2,326.55 on turnover of US$22.6 billion.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, dropped 1.11 per cent, or 14.74 points, to 1,316.03.
