Hong Kong shares end lower, Shanghai up

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks ended lower Wednesday, tracking losses on Wall Street, as profit-takers moved in following sharp gains the day before.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.17 per cent, or 39.23 points, to close at 22,976.88.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.35 per cent, or 10.81 points, to 3,085.49. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.22 per cent, or 4.51 points, to 2,032.87.
