Hong Kong shares end week with another loss; Shanghai up
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks finished a roller-coaster week with a second successive loss, tracking a sell-off across Asian markets Friday as a recent rally petered out while dealers look ahead to a key speech by Donald Trump next week.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.62 per cent, or 149.16 points, to 23965.70.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched 0.06 per cent, or 2.05 points, higher to close at 3,253.43, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.42 per cent, or 8.40 points, to 2,000.38.
