Hong Kong: Shares extend gains at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares rose in opening trades Thursday, extending gains to a fourth straight day, following another Wall Street rally and upbeat US data.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.48 per cent, or 114.65 points, to 23,902.96.
Mainland Chinese markets are closed all week for the National Day holiday.
