Hong Kong: Shares extend rebound at open

    [HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares rallied at the start of trade on Thursday, extending a rebound from the previous day and following Wall Street, where investors had cheered Donald Trump's address to Congress.

    The Hang Seng Index climbed 1.23 per cent, or 292.04 points, to 24,068.53.

    And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.11 per cent, or 3.59 points, to 3,250.52, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was 0.09 per cent, or 1.85 points, up at 2,010.72.
