Hong Kong: Shares open higher

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong's main index rose in the first few minutes of trade Monday to pare Friday's losses, but Shanghai stocks opened flat as July manufacturing data for China came in below expectations.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.53 per cent, or 142.47 points, to 27,121.86.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged 0.02 per cent lower, or 0.49 points, to 3,252.75, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.19 points to 1,868.18.
