Hong Kong: Shares open lower on Thursday

    [HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks opened slightly lower on Thursday morning following three days of gains and after China unveiled plans to expand tighter regulation across various industries over the coming years.

    The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.14 per cent, or 36.39 points, to 26,623.77.

    The Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.28 per cent, or 9.90 points, to 3,522.72, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange fell 0.28 per cent, or 6.97 points, to 2,480.04.
