Hong Kong: Shares rebound from hefty losses

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rallied Wednesday, bouncing back from the previous day's sharp losses as bargain-buyers moved in and with traders tracking a record close on Wall Street.

The Hang Seng Index added 0.99 per cent, or 238.33 points, to 24,201.96.

And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.24 per cent, or 7.89 points, to close at 3,261.22 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.46 per cent, or 9.20 points, to end at 1,990.34.
