Hong Kong: Shares tumble at open

    [HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks sank in the first few minutes of trade on Friday as financial firms were hit by worries about the future of German banking colossus Deutsche Bank.

    The Hang Seng Index dived 1.43 per cent or 339.34 points, to 23,400.13.

    The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.14 per cent, or 4.23 points, to 2,994.25, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged down 0.10 per cent, or 1.93 points, to 1,983.99.
