Hong Kong stock up 0.38% at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares started the day on a high note Thursday, rising in line with Shanghai despite a soft lead from New York.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.38 per cent, or 102.35 points, to 27,351.63.
In mainland China the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.26 per cent, or 11.47 points, to 4,387.23.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.30 per cent, or 7.45 points, to 2,453.32.
