Hong Kong: Stocks close down

    HONG Kong stocks ended on Tuesday (Sep 6) slightly lower on concerns about the global outlook, though Shanghai rose after China vowed fresh stimulus measures for the troubled economy.

    The Hang Seng Index eased 0.12 per cent, or 22.97 points, to 19,202.73.

    The Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.36 per cent, or 43.53 points, to 3,243.45, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange climbed 1.21 per cent, or 25.19 points, to 2,113.27. AFP
