Hong Kong: Stocks close lower with Asia retreat
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks closed lower Thursday as investors across Asia moved cautiously ahead of economic data and earnings reports due later this week.
The Hang Seng Index lost 1.09 per cent, or 359.60 points, to end the day at 32,607.29.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.99 per cent, or 34.99 points, to 3,488.01, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.53 per cent, or 10.23 points, to 1,909.57.
