Hong Kong: Stocks closes higher as Shanghai slips
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rose on Wednesday, driven by strong results from Apple and a fifth straight record close on Wall Street, but Shanghai slipped as investors took profits.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.24 per cent, or 67.15 points, to close at 27,607.38.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.23 per cent, or 7.58 points, to end at 3,285.06. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.70 per cent, or 13.15 points, to 1,869.32.
