[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks edged down in the first few minutes of trade Friday following a rally over the past week, while investors were given a tepid lead from Wall Street The Hang Seng Index eased 0.12 per cent, or 29.83 points, to 24,077.87.
In Shanghai the benchmark composite index edged down 0.06 per cent, or 1.91 points, to 3,227.71, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was barely moved, inching down 0.14 points to 1,958.26.
