Hong Kong: Stocks down at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks retreated at the start of trade Monday, in line with a sell-off across most regional markets, with technology firms tumbling following big losses for the sector in New York.
The Hang Seng index shed 0.40 per cent, or 103.29 points, to 25,927.00.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.28 per cent, or 8.87 points, to 3,149.53 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.42 per cent, or 7.80 points, to 1,849.37.
