Hong Kong: Stocks down at open

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks kicked off Monday with losses, extending the sell-off seen at the end of last week as US traders provided a tepid lead.

The Hang Seng Index shed 0.10 per cent, or 28.99 points, to 27,851.54.

And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.24 per cent, or 7.94 points, to 3,344.59 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, dipped 0.13 per cent, or 2.67 points, to 1,985.92.
