    HONG KONG stocks ended the day higher after the Hang Seng index rose 2.7 per cent to 19,898.77.

    The index however edged down 0.5 per cent for the week.

    The blue-chip CSI300 index rose 0.8 per cent to 3,988.60, while the Shanghai Composite Index gained 1 per cent to 3,084.28 points. REUTERS
