HONG KONG shares ended lower on Friday (Apr 22) after the US Federal Reserve boss suggested strong monetary policy tightening lay ahead.
The Hang Seng Index shed 0.21 per cent, or 43.70 points, to close at 20,638.52.
The Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.23 per cent, or 7.11 points, to 3,086.92, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange dropped 0.50 per cent, or 9.70 points, to 1,914.11. AFP
