HONG Kong shares fell for a sixth successive day on Thursday (Sep 8) as investors fret over the impact of surging interest rates to fight inflation, with tech firms among the main losers.
The Hang Seng Index sank 1.00 per cent, or 189.68 points, to 18,854.62.
The Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.33 per cent, or 10.71 points, to 3,235.59, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange lost 0.89 per cent, or 18.80 points, to 2,104.39. AFP
