Hong Kong: Stocks end higher

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks closed slightly higher on Thursday, extending the previous day's advance, as traders try to gauge the Federal Reserve's plans for monetary policy as the world's top economy enjoys a blockbuster recovery.
The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.23 per cent, or 65.39 points, to 28,882.46.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was flat, inching up 0.43 points to 3,566.65, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange dipped 0.50 per cent, or 12.02 points, to 2,415.36.
