Hong Kong: Stocks end lower after late sell-off
[HONG KONG] Shares in Hong Kong ended lower Wednesday as late profit-taking wiped out gains built up through the day, although energy firms saw a healthy rally on a pick-up in oil prices.
The Hang Seng index slipped 0.19 per cent, or 43.38 points, to 22,280.53.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.06 per cent, or 1.93 points, to 3,205.06 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, inched up 0.02 per cent, or 0.45 points, to 2,124.85.
