Hong Kong: Stocks end lower after late sell-off

[HONG KONG] A late sell-off saw Hong Kong stocks end in the red again on Monday, extending losses after diving more than nine percent last week, with analysts warning of further volatility.

The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.16 per cent, or 47.79 points, to close at 29,459.63.

And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.78 per cent, or 24.28 points, to 3,154.13 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, jumped 2.65 per cent, or 44.47 points, to 1,723.73.
