Hong Kong: Stocks fall at open

    [HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks fell Tuesday in post-holiday trading, as dealers moved cautiously despite a positive lead from Wall Street.

    The Hang Seng Index dropped 0.42 per cent, or 102.97 points, to 24,158.69.

    The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.21 per cent, or 6.77 points, to 3,215.40, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.08 per cent, or 1.51 points, to 1,957.04.
