Hong Kong: Stocks finish with big losses
HONG KONG stocks tumbled on Wednesday (Jul 6) on fears over a recession in the world's leading economies, while the downbeat mood was made worse by news of a new flare-up of Covid cases in China.
The Hang Seng Index retreated 1.22 per cent, or 266.41 points, to 21,586.66.
But the Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.43 per cent, or 48.68 points, to 3,355.35, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange dropped 1.15 per cent, or 25.78 points, to 2,207.20. AFP
