HONG KONG stocks finished Tuesday with another loss fuelled by worries about a possible recession caused by sharp central bank interest rate hikes, while investors were also keeping a nervous watch on a fresh Covid outbreak in China.
The Hang Seng Index sank 1.32 per cent or 279.46 points to 20,844.74.
The Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.97 per cent or 32.12 points to 3,281.47, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange retreated 1.45 per cent or 31.78 points to 2,155.56. AFP
