Hong Kong: Stocks finish with steep losses

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks finished on Monday (Jan 24) with big losses on concerns about the Federal Reserve's plans to hike interest rates to fight inflation, with the bank's policy meeting later this week keenly awaited.
The Hang Seng Index dropped 1.24 per cent, or 309.09 points, to 24,656.46.
The Shanghai Composite Index was marginally higher, inching up 1.54 points to 3,524.11, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange added 0.19 per cent, or 4.60 points, to 2,392.24.
