Hong Kong: Stocks flat at Tuesday’s open
SHARES were barely moved at the open of trade in Hong Kong on Tuesday following a tepid lead from Wall Street on renewed fears of more sharp Federal Reserve interest rate hikes to tame inflation.
The Hang Seng Index inched down 6.47 points to 20,039.30.
The Shanghai Composite Index was also flat, dipping 1.20 points to 3,235.74, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange eased 0.15 per cent, or 3.26 points, to 2,179.97. AFP
