[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks opened slightly higher on Wednesday, rising 0.17 per cent to defy a lower finish on Wall Street and a slide in Tokyo's opening exchanges.
The city's benchmark Hang Seng Index added 42.3 points to 24,448.42.
