Hong Kong: Stocks open 1.49% higher

    [HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks jumped 1.49 per cent in the opening exchanges Thursday after China's central bank cut the amount of cash lenders must keep in reserve, its latest bid to kickstart the mainland economy.

    The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 368.50 points to 25048.26.
