Hong Kong: Stocks open up after US record
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks opened higher on Thursday, pushing gains into a fourth straight day after a Wall Street record as minutes from the Federal Reserve's latest policy meeting pointed to a June rate hike and indicated a healthy US economy.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.33 per cent, or 82.96 points, to 25,511.46.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.29 per cent, or 8.74 points, to 3,055.34 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gave up 0.18 per cent, or 3.19 points, to 1,795.68.
