Hong Kong: Stocks open up to extend record run

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares opened higher on Friday morning, building on a record run of 13 straight gains for the benchmark index after Wall Street hit fresh all-time highs.
The Hang Seng rose 0.57 per cent, or 177.66 points to 31,298.05 at the open.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was slightly lower, inching down 1.46 points to 3,423.88 after clocking up 10 straight gains.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged down 0.09 per cent, or 1.78 points, to 1,951.34.
