Hong Kong: Stocks open higher
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks edged up in the first few minutes of trade Friday as bargain-buyers moved in following the previous day's fall of more than one percent.
The Hang Seng index added 0.57 per cent, or 145.75 points, to 25,711.09.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.20 per cent, or 6.12 points, to 3,126.37 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.05 point to 1,869.66.
