Hong Kong: Stocks open higher after oil's rise
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks advanced at the open on Friday as gains on Wall Street and a rise in the oil price boosted sentiment, while shares in China dipped slightly.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.24 per cent, or 56.4 points, to 23,079.56. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.12 per cent, or 3.72 points, to 3,100.39, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was flat, edging down 0.08 per cent, or 1.57 points, to 2,040.65.
