Hong Kong: Stocks open higher on Wednesday

    HONG KONG stocks rose at the open on Wednesday (Nov 9) after gains on Wall Street, but trade could remain volatile as investors speculate on the future of China’s zero-Covid policy.

    The Hang Seng Index put on 0.6 per cent, or 93.61 points, to 16,650.92 in early trade.

    The Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.2 per cent, or 4.93 points, to 3,069.42, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange was flat, adding 1.00 points to 2,020.81. AFP
