Hong Kong: Stocks open lower after Trump failure
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks turned lower in the first few minutes of trade Monday as Donald Trump's failure to push through his first major piece of legislation raised concerns about his ability to pass key economy-boosting policies.
The Hang Seng Index dipped 0.50 per cent, or 122.58 points, to 24,235.69.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was flat, inching down 0.53 points to 3,268.92 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was also barely moved, edging up 0.28 points to 2,047.02.
