Hong Kong: Stocks open lower on Monday

    HONG Kong stocks opened down on Monday after jumping more than 5 per cent in the previous session on speculation that China will begin winding back some of its strict zero-Covid policies.

    The Hang Seng Index dipped 0.16 per cent, or 26.07 points, to 16,135.07.

    The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.10 per cent, or 3.02 points, to 3,073.82, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange was up 0.45 per cent, or 9.04 points, at 2,029.21. AFP
