Hong Kong: Stocks open more than 1% higher

    [HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares rallied almost one per cent soon after opening Friday following a bounce on Wall Street, with energy firms resuming their upward swing on higher oil prices.

    The Hang Seng Index added 0.98 per cent, or 293.15 points, to 30,300.83.

    And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.24 per cent, or 7.38 points, to 3,082.41, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.47 per cent, or 8.28 points, to 1,778.68.
