Hong Kong: Stocks open with small gains
HONG KONG stocks ticked up slightly in the first few minutes of Tuesday (Sep 6) morning following the previous day’s sell-off, though traders remain on edge about the global outlook.
The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.19 per cent, or 36.00 points, to 19,261.70.
The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.25 per cent, or 8.02 points, to 3,207.93, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange gained 0.21 per cent, or 4.34 points, to 2,092.43. AFP
