Hong Kong: Stocks open week with loss
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks closed lower on Monday following a below-par reading on US jobs while traders were also spooked by another deadly terror attack in London at the weekend.
The Hang Seng index slipped 0.24 per cent, or 61.06 points, to 25,862.99.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.45 per cent, or 13.88 points, to 3,091.66. But the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, closed 0.69 per cent higher, or 12.33 points, at 1,800.93.
