Hong Kong: Stocks opens higher

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks opened higher Monday as tensions over North Korea eased, while Shanghai was flat ahead of the release of Chinese economic data.

The Hang Seng Index was up 0.72 per cent, or 193.54 points, to 27,077.05.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched down 0.08 per cent, or 2.50 points, to 3,206.04, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged up 0.10 per cent, or 1.88 points, to 1,844.48.
