Hong Kong: Stocks rally at open on Thursday

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks surged at the open of trade on Thursday, after falling for six days, following a report that US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin had reached out to China to hold trade talks.
The Hang Seng Index jumped 1.72 per cent, or 453.35 points, to 26,798.39.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.87 per cent, or 23.10 points, to 2,679.21, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.86 per cent, or 12.09 points, to 1,415.69.
